T.L. Johnson is an author of modern gothic fiction and romantic suspense, known for stories that explore love, loss, obsession, and the quiet ache of being human. Her work blends atmospheric storytelling with emotionally complex characters, creating worlds where tension hums beneath the surface and every choice carries weight.
Raised in Mississippi and now living in West Virginia, Johnson draws inspiration from both Southern roots and Appalachian landscapes. Her writing is often described as moody, immersive, and voice-driven, with a focus on relationships, memory, and the ways people survive the shadows in their lives.
She is the author of The Storm and Shadow Duology (The Storm and the Rose and The Rose and the Shadows), as well as the developing tales from Velkyn’s Hollow—interconnected romantic fantasy novellas that explore magic, recognition, and the laws that shape unseen worlds.
When she isn’t writing, Johnson works as a midnight pharmacist, runs a mobile indie bookshop, and spends her time creating a beautiful life with her husband and daughter, and building spaces where stories and readers can feel at home.
